Welcome to Relay Energy Brokerage, LLC (“Relay Energy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website https://relayeb.com (the “Site”), and the services we provide (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or Services.

Services Provided

Relay Energy is a retail energy broker that helps customers evaluate energy plans, enroll in contracts, and manage renewals. We do not generate or distribute electricity—we facilitate comparisons and enrollment with licensed retail electricity providers.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts to use our Services.

Subscription Fees

Relay Energy offers two subscription options:

  • Monthly Plan: $10 per month, billed automatically.
  • Annual Plan: $100 per year, billed once annually.

By subscribing, you authorize us to automatically charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis according to the plan you choose.

Payment & Billing

All payments are processed securely via our third-party payment processor. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate billing information. Relay Energy does not store full credit card details on our servers.

Contract Renewals

When your electricity contract ends, we will shop the market for a new plan that best matches your usage and preferences. We make commercially reasonable efforts to secure optimal rates, but we do not guarantee the lowest rate in all cases.

SMS Communications

If you provide your mobile phone number and expressly opt in to receive text messages from Relay Energy, you consent to receive SMS messages related to:

  • Electricity plan enrollment
  • Account notifications
  • Service updates
  • Customer support communications

Message frequency varies based on your account activity.

User Responsibilities

You agree not to:

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action must be brought in Harris County, Texas.

Refer-A-Friend Program Terms

Relay Energy Brokerage, LLC (“Relay Energy”) offers a public referral program that allows any individual (not just existing customers) to earn a $50 reward for successfully referring new customers to our electricity brokerage services in Texas.

Eligibility:

  • Anyone may participate in the referral program—there is no requirement to be a current subscriber.
  • Participants may not refer themselves or use multiple accounts to generate referral rewards.

Referral Tracking & Management:

  • Referrals are tracked manually by Relay Energy staff after a referred customer enrolls in either a monthly or annual subscription.
  • No third-party software is used; referrals must be submitted directly to Relay Energy for validation.

Reward & Redemption:

  • A $50 reward will be issued to the referring party after the referred customer completes payment for an annual subscription.
  • Rewards are paid directly and are not limited to subscription credits—non-subscribers are also eligible for payment.
  • No cap exists on the number of referrals or rewards a participant may earn.

Payout Timeline:

  • Referral rewards will be issued within 30 days of confirmed payment from the referred customer.
  • If the referrer is a current subscriber, the credit will be applied to their next billing cycle or sent as a standalone payment.

Fraud Prevention & Abuse:

  • Any fraudulent activity—such as fake accounts, bots, or duplicate signups—may result in disqualification from the program and legal action.
  • Relay Energy reserves the right to seek restitution for fraudulent activity, including contacting authorities and reversing illegitimate payouts.

Refunds & Reversals:

  • No reward reversals will be made once a referral payment has been issued, even if the referred customer later cancels or requests a refund.

Program Availability:

  • The referral program is valid only for referrals within the state of Texas.
  • Referrals from or on behalf of residents outside of Texas are not eligible.

Modifications:

  • Relay Energy reserves the right to modify, pause, or terminate the referral program at any time without prior notice.

Disclosure

“You may receive compensation.” Must be included when shared publicly

Participants may receive compensation for referrals. If you share a referral link online, you must disclose that you may receive a reward

Participants who refer new customers may be eligible for a $50 reward for each new annual subscriber referred. Rewards are issued once the referred party completes enrollment and payment. Participants are responsible for any tax reporting on earned referral income. Relay Energy reserves the right to modify or cancel this program at any time. If you share your referral link or code in a public forum, you must disclose that you may receive a reward, per FTC guidelines.
